About us

Teach Modúlach has been set up in Donegal as a response to the defective blocks disaster, the housing crisis and the ongoing climate emergency.

The ethos of the company is to create beautiful family housing from sustainable building materials and employing tested renewable technology to ensure in-use net-zero homes.

We have opted to construct our homes form a combination of volumetric modules (think weather tight boxes) containing the equipment to harness renewable energy and assemble wall, floor, and roof panels around this core.

The company was founded by a father and son team – Bob is an electrical and electronic engineer with a specialism in renewable energy. He has taken his own house, a typical Donegal cottage, off grid. Ciaran is an experienced architect with an understanding of the benefits modern method of construction and the challenges surrounding this field.

The company is in its infancy. The purpose of the website is to garner the level of interest from homeowners affected by the defective blocks disaster in having their homes rebuilt.
